Will Redfall Launch On Game Pass?

September 9, 2022 by Dennis Patrick

Make sure your Game Pass subscription is active.

Arkane Studio has been around for years now. However, you might know them best from their Dishonored franchise, Prey, and even their latest video game release, Deathloop. Alongside Deathloop, the development team over at Arkane had another video game title in the works called Redfall. If you enjoy games like Left 4 Dead, then this might be something worth keeping on your radar.

Redfall was first unveiled to the masses during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 Showcase. If you don’t recall, it was the year prior that Microsoft made the behemoth acquisition deal. Purchasing ZeniMax for over $7 billion, this deal came with an assortment of studios. Included were the likes of Bethesda and Arkane.

During the stream, we were given the unveiling of Redfall, an upcoming open-world first-person shooter. The gameplay acts similar to the likes of Left 4 Dead in the sense that players are working together in a fight against a supernatural entity. However, instead of the undead hordes we’re used to seeing, Arkane opted to feature a legion of vampires to battle with. So grab some friends and prepare for a fight as you attempt to overthrow the vampire legion and save the town of Redfall.

Will Redfall Launch On Game Pass?

Microsoft made a pretty significant wave in the game industry with the introduction of the Game Pass subscription service. With Game Pass, subscribers would acquire a massive catalog of video games to play at any given moment. All they would need to have is an active Game Pass subscription. What made this a bit more incentivizing was the fact that Microsoft boasted that Xbox exclusives would arrive on Game Pass at launch.

Fortunately, this means that we can expect Arkane Studios’ Redfall will be available on the Game Pass service on day one. If you don’t recall, Microsoft made a massive purchase a couple of years ago. Acquiring ZeniMax Media for several billion dollars, Microsoft quickly became the owner of a variety of notable studios. Including the likes of Bethesda and Arkane Studios.

Ultimately, this means we can expect Redfall release for the Xbox console platform, PC, and, lastly, Xbox Game Pass. Again, all you need is an active Game Pass subscription service that typically runs $15 a month. Although, you can find different deals and promotions going on that will grant newcomers a significant discount.

With that said, if you don’t have Game Pass or have no interest in the subscription service, you can still acquire Redfall as a standard purchase. With Redfall, you can expect the game to launch on the Xbox Series X/S and the PC platform. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll see Redfall launch for the last-generation Xbox One console platform.
