Activision has announced the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s Awakening DLC on PlayStation 4 today.

Awakening adds four new multiplayer maps to the game and a new Zombies campaign starring the cast of Origins for $15. The DLC can also be unlocked via Black Ops 3’s Season Pass, which costs $49.99. PC and Xbox One players will need to wait about a month to get their hands on this content while those playing on PS3 or Xbox 360 will, unfortunately, be left out.

Here’s what you’re getting for your money:

  • Skyjacked: This map is set high about the city of Zurich and is an updated version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s popular multiplayer map Hijacked. Treyarch designed the map to take advantage of the increased movement versatility offered to players in Black Ops 3 to allow you to explore the map in new ways.
  • Splash: Set in an abandoned water theme park with an appropriately bright and colourful aesthetic, such as a lazy river, ruined pirate ship, and waterslides, this map has been designed to ensure there’s a steady flow during combat. There are also options for underwater gameplay.
  • Gauntlet: This map is all about variety, with three environments in one. Players will fight their way through a rain-soaked urban area, a vast jungle, and an arctic sector.
  • Rise: The last map is set in the heart of a vast construction site for a research campus on the outskirts of Zurich. Snow is the order of the day here, with numerous area for engagement spread across a large area.

Awakening also features Der Eisendrache, the first segment of the game’s Zombies DLC, which picks up where The Giant ended. As Origin characters Dempsey, Takeo, Nikolai, and Richtofen, you’ll travel to a spooky Austrian castle during the height of the Second World War. Beneath the medieval fortress, a huge reserve of Element 115 has been discovered, forcing you to overcome wave after wave of the undead.

Black Ops 3 was recently patched on PS4, in part to prepare for Awakening, with the hefty update clocking in at 9.1GB.
