EA has teamed up with Relativity Media to promote Act of Valor, an upcoming military movie that’s more or less like Battlefield 3. By watching the movie’s three minute trailer here, you can unlock a variety of BF3 dogtags on your platform of choice.
The plot in Act of Valor centers around an elite team of Navy SEALs called Bandito Platoon who embark on a covert operation to recover a kidnapped CIA agent. The first of its kind, the movie stars actual, active-duty US Navy SEALs and SWCC.
“The story is fictional, but the weapons and tactics are real,” reads the film’s trailer.
The movie originally started as a training video for Navy SEALS, but the Navy liked what they saw so much that they decided to turn it into a documentary. With the help of 300 screenwriter Kurt Johnstad, it turned into a movie.
Act of Valor will be out in theaters on February 17.
