Elden Ring Legend Was Sent a Real Sword by Bandai Namco

A sword for the king!

An Elden Ring legend was acknowledged for their achievements recently with the most epic of awards. Let Me Solo Her has become famous for the absolute annihilation of the game’s most fearsome boss, killing the menacing Malenia 1,000 times. Bandai Namco sought the person out so they could gift them an actual sword to commemorate the milestone accordingly.

The mythical Elden Ring legend has come to the rescue of so many warriors who were at their wit’s end while trying to defeat the wicked Malenia. She is considered the toughest battle in the game, but that means nothing to Let Me Solo Her who has eaten her for breakfast, lunch, and dinner countless times now.

Bandai Namco obviously took notice, and the publisher created a little care package for the mysterious warrior. In a tweet from Let Me Solo Her (whose Twitter name is TsuboiKlein), they shared some photos of the Elden Ring-themed package that arrived at their residence from Bandai Namco. The gift included a personalized congratulatory message from themselves, a plaque, a map, and a gorgeous sword with the phrase “Rise, tarnished” branded on it.

Thank you @BandaiNamcoUS and @ELDENRING for giving me this gift and congratulating me for being #LetMeSoloHer . I can still remember my first experience with the soulsborne series and almost quitting because of Iudex Gundyr in Dark souls 3. I'm glad I persisted and (1/3) pic.twitter.com/w2FF77HRnO

The player’s tweet read: “I can still remember my first experience with the Souls/Borne series and almost quitting because of Ludex Gundyr in Dark souls 3. I’m glad I persisted and went on to enjoy the game, because this community is one of the most passionate and dedicated people I’ve ever seen in a game, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Let Me Solo Her has become such a legendary figure in the Elden Ring world now, even becoming immortalized by countless pieces of fan art too. How nice is it to see some deserved recognition by gaming developers and publishers though? Such a feat deserves a worthy prize, and an epic sword is basically as good a prize as one could get. I wish I was good enough at games to one day get a free sword. One can dream, I guess.
