Gears 3 Has a Big Head Mode Weekend

What better way to celebrate Columbus Day weekend than to play Gears of War 3 in Big Head Mode? Well, plenty of ways, actually. Should your cup of tea be "make the Gears of War cast even bigger caricatures of themselves," however, then you're in luck.

Starting on this Friday, Gears of War 3 will have Big Head Mode available in public Horde and as well as a Big Head Mode playlist for TDM. On top of this, a "mutator will be available in both Ranked and Quick matches inside the event playlist" according to the Epic Blog.

Epic is also looking for feedback on the event, and one lucky commenter will get a signed copy of Karen Traviss' latest Gears novel.

Having played BHM in the Gears beta, it's completely beyond my understanding as to why someone would want the refrigerator-sized characters taking up even more of your screen. To each his own, I suppose!
