In Ezio’s journey east to the Ottoman Empire, he encounters Templars who harass and bully their way through the citizenry in the locations they take over. “It’s a constant battle to keep them at bay,” says his unnamed Turkish companion, who teaches him how to craft bombs.
“These do not obscure, they distract.”
Through his newfound knowledge, Ezio can construct a variety of bombs, such as the Caltrop Bomb which allows you to slow down your enemies and stop chasing guards. The Pyrite Coin Bomb allows you to distract guards with gold, and manipulate the crowd.
Others, like the Smoke Signal bomb, lure enemies away from their posts and provide you with a good amount of cover to take them out. Finally, lethal explosives like the Splinter Bomb function as a Renaissance Age pipebomb.
To craft bombs, Ezio will need a shell, gunpowder, and the ingredients that make up the weapon. Everything you need will be scattered around the city. Bomb crafting is highly experimental, allowing you to produce a variety of different bombs–such as the Tripwire Splinter Bomb and the Cherry Bomb.
