A listing for Dead Island Redux has popped up, this time for a European retailer. Feeling déjà vu? It’s not quite really like that.
But first, the news. The listing for Dead Island Redux appeared under Dutch toy and electronics retailer Bart Smit. Of course, the listed publisher is Deep Silver, who owns the series, and also released the Metro Redux bundle a few months back. The listi8ngs were for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows, with a price point of 39.99 euros, the same as Metro Redux. The listing has no release date, but it did come with this description.
Now, here’s the thing. A listing for Dead Island Definitive Edition came up last July with a different European retailer, and a release date of November 13. If that listing was made in good faith, it points to plans having been changed.
Those who have played Metro Redux can tell you the games received a significant graphical upgrade, and came bundled with all the DLC bundled in. So, it is reasonable to surmise that the Dead Island games will receive a similar treatment.
With a Dead Island sequel seemingly in limbo, this is at least a reasonable way to tide fans over. The question is, are you up for a Dead Island Redux? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
