Skyward Sword Offers Left-Handed Wii Controls

October 6, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Skyward Sword will offer support for left-handed players using the Wii Motion Plus.

The new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has been making the rounds with the press lately and some of the new features Nintendo has revealed should make a lot of players happy with what the game has to offer.

IGN spent some time with the game's combat tutorial to get a feel for the game and among one of the new features it has to offer is a left-handed option for players.

While the game will (probably) not actually have Link wield weapons in his left hand, left-handed players with the Wii Motion Plus won't have a difficult time playing the game with the controls in the opposite hands. It's going to be weird if they don't do something about Link's representation on screen, however.

Skyward Sword will also allow you to disable the HUD overlay, leaving just the heart and rupee counts for the extra immersion.
