The statue first appeared at New York Comic Con last month, but now, Kotobukiya has revealed pictures of the Metal Gear Solid Sniper Wolf Bishoujo statue. "Sniper Wolf wears her iconic customized green and black uniform that’s open at the chest and her yellow/green hair flows down around her beautiful Bishoujo-styled face (with blue eyes and green lipstick) that looks at you like you're a target," reads the description.
Kotobukiya statues depict famous characters in Japanese shoujo form — as pretty girls. Sniper Wolf, Solid Snake's enemy in Metal Gear Solid, is the latest to get the Kotobukiya treatment. You can currently pre-order the 7.5 inch tall figurine for $80, but it won't go on sale until July. The figurine is likely to be a hit so if any part of you wants to own it, now’s the time to get on that train.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain released in September and is currently available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The game seems to be doing well critically and commercially despite the continued rift between Hideo Kojima and Konami. There is still no official word regarding Kojima’s status within the company, but stay tuned to Gameranx for any updates.
