Interactive narrative drama game As Dusk Falls will be coming to Xbox and PC on July 19th, it was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase event. The game–the first to be developed by Interior/Night–was also featured in a first-look gameplay trailer during the event.
Described in the presentation as “an uncompromising tale of betrayal, sacrifice and resilience,” As Dusk Falls tells the complex story of two different families living in a small town in Arizona. The gameplay trailer gives off strong Life Is Strange vibes with its choice and consequence style mechanics.

The art style in this game looks absolutely gorgeous and appears to replicate the style of graphic-novel-inspired games such as Telltale’s The Walking Dead games. As Dusk Falls was also recently featured in this year’s Tribeca Games Festival as part of their official selection and it seems that it’s already drawing the attention of a number of industry outlets.
Fans of emotional storytelling, tons of branching narrative choices and a good old dose of psychological drama should definitely be interested in this one. As Dusk Falls can be played in solo campaign mode or in multiplayer, although it’s unclear quite how that will work in terms of the choice-and-consequence-based mechanics. Either way, time will tell to see how it is received by players when it launches in a few weeks’ time.
As Dusk Falls will launch on July 19th. The game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X and S as well as Xbox One consoles and PC. Outside of the Xbox ecosystem, the game will also be available on PC via Steam.
