Evolve has always been about helping gamers with busy lives schedule play time with friends. Nearly two million users later, the company is releasing Evolve 2.0, a complete redesign of the platform. New features include individual and group chat (with text and voice support), a party system that supports scheduled games, a matchmaking system, and screen capture to users can live stream and share on social media.
"PC gaming typically requires a lot of juggling of the who, what, when and how you want to play games. Evolve makes it a breeze," said Adam Sellke, Evolve founder. According to Evolve, 60% of their 1.8 million strong userbase logs on to play games for over two hours per day (and 30% even play for over five hours).
Along with the beta, Evolve’s new Partner Program hopes to entice new game developers. The first partner is BetaDwarf, the team behind the Forced franchise. "As an indie developer, partners like Evolve help us to reach a larger audience of PC gamers who appreciate the community aspect of gaming," said Frederik Elkær Denning, Forced: Eternal Arenas producer. Upcoming partners include Big Robot, DoubleDutch, tinyBuild, and Skybox Labs.
