Microsoft Announces 65 New ID@Xbox Developers

Microsoft has announced 65 new developers have joined the ID@Xbox indie developer program and confirmed that the first game to be processed through the self-publishing initiative are currently in the certification process.

The new developers join 50 previously revealed studios who have signed up for the program which included Ryse creator Crytek, Broken Age developer Double Fine, and Ridiculous Fishing producer Vlambeer. Microsoft's director of ID@Xbox, Chris Carla, has commented that the first games to be released as part of the program should be released around March.

Addressing the new announcements on the Xbox Wire, Carla said, "ID@Xbox is a global program and we’re committed to bringing the best from around the world to Xbox One. The first ID@Xbox games are in certification now and, as always, we continue to look for ways to improve the creation process for our ID@Xbox partners with new processes and tools.
