BioWare has announced their plans for N7 Day, a day of celebration among fans of BioWare’s Mass Effect series of video games.
N7 Day is held every year on Nov. 7 and this year BioWare is highlighting the day with a livestream from the developers to support Extra Life, a charity where participants raise money for children’s hospitals around the United States. The livestream will be hosted on BioWare’s Twitch channel and they will be playing Mass Effect 3’s Citadel DLC. Additionally, they will be taking suggestions from the audience as to what decisions the community would like for Commander Shepherd to make in this playthrough of the 2013 add-on. BioWare will also be matching every dollar raised through the livestream up to $10,000.
BioWare teased, “[W]hile we won’t have any major announcements for Mass Effect: Andromeda this N7 Day, keep an eye out on Saturday for some surprises that we’re sure you’ll enjoy.”
The developer will also be sharing social media posts from fans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and will be giving away free stuff on the BioWare and Mass Effect Twitter accounts. Additionally, items will be on sale in the BioWare store in “a week-long N7 Day Celebration Sale.”
The next entry in the Mass Effect franchise, Mass Effect: Andromeda, was announced at E3 2015 for release at the end of 2016. More details for the game’s story and characters can be found here.
