It could be entirely my imagination, but the crux of every Ubisoft show for the last couple of years seems to have been Ghost Recon Future Soldier. It wasn’t until fairly recently that I realised that the game still hasn’t come out, which is surprising because it looked pretty good at E3 2011.
After delays and disappointment, Ubi have now set a date in stone. If you’ve been waiting since that first video trailer a couple of years ago, draw a big black circle around March 6th and then find something to keep you occupied for the next five months.
Of course, there’s also a beta to come and if you bought Splinter Cell: Conviction, you’ll be invited along to that. Presumably there’ll be access to Playstation Plus members as well.
Just spare a brief thought for people who wanted both this and Mass Effect 3 – they release on the same day. That’s a choice I don’t wish on anybody.
