Speaking on Twitter last night, Bethesda boss Pete Hines said that the developer will not offer a demo for Fallout 4, its upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG, because it’s not possible to break the game into small pieces. Bethesda did not offer a demo for Fallout 3 when it released in fall of 2008. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas also did not receive demos.

Potential wasteland adventurers unsure of whether to buy the game will have to wait until launch day, or when reviews hit. The game’s E3 showing may be enough to sway them. For those who can’t get enough Fallout 4, Bethesda has been heavily promoting the game through merchandise. While the Great War sale is over, you can still pick up the limited edition Art of Fallout 4 book, the Ultimate Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide, or some of the Carlsberg Fallout-inspired beer. A new Great War t-shirt was also unveiled, along with a limited edition wired Xbox One Vault Boy controller.
Fallout 4 launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday, November 10.
