The folks at Digital Foundry have put together a benchmark comparing Assassin's Creed Syndicate on the PS4 and Xbox One, and they've found that while both systems run the game at 900p, the framerate on the PS4 version is better than on the Xbox One.
Digital Foundry notes that there is a marked improvement of Syndicate over last year's Unity. "In Unity, we could see extended periods of gameplay where the 30fps target was nowhere in sight," they wrote. "Its successor shows huge improvement on both platforms, but it's clear that the PlayStation 4 takes pole position."
"Rapid traversal through environments can hit performance on both systems, but where the Microsoft box dips into the high 20s, PS4 has a better lock on its 30fps target," they add. "And when the Sony console dips to the 27fps area, Xbox One is a couple of fps further off the pace."
The website says that the games look practically identical apart from framerate. They also state that Syndicate's bugs are nowhere as evident as Unity, with the overall experience being that much smoother. You can read the full report here.
