It has come to light that Rainbow Six Siege will have an extra in-game economy, called Rainbow Credits.
We were already aware of an in-game currency called Renown. Renown can be used to buy accessories for your weapons, weapon skins, and will also help you unlock Operators.
In an interview on YouTube, one of Rainbow Six Siege’s developers let the cat out of the bag regarding Rainbow Credits. He let out that the credits can be used for unlocks before stopping himself. He also fell short of confirming that ‘prestige points’ could be purchased with real money.
Rainbow Six Siege will be released on December 1 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. Ubisoft very recently revealed the game needed some more development time to polish, so they set this new date. Is it possible these Rainbow Credits were added in at the last minute? Is it also likely that these credits could be purchased with real money, meaning microtransactions have been added in?
What do you think these Rainbow Credits are? Does this dampen your interest in Rainbow Six Siege? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
