After yesterday's pricing announcement, Electronic Arts confirmed today that Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Emperor Palpatine will all be playable characters in Star Wars: Battlefront.
Lead Hero Designer Jamie Keen described Han Solo as "such a likeable character" that "turning his unique persona into gameplay features is a thrill when you're a Star Wars fan."
The character will have three noteworthy abilities: Rapid Fire (his Blaster won't overheat), Lucky Shot (a "build up and release" power effective against vehicles), and Shoulder Charge, if you're planning on charging into a group of stormtroopers a la Episode IV.
Leia will have equally formidable abilities, including Trooper Bane (a boosted blaster shot), Enhanced Squad Shield, and Supply Drop. EA recommends trying out Leia in the Hero Battles mission.
Emperor Palpatine's abilities are a little different. Fast Dash allows him to (surprise) move extremely fast, Imperial Resources gives him the ability to hand out powerups, and Force Lightning lets you "fry everything that moves."
Star Wars: Battlefront arrives on November 17 and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
