More people have stepped forward to confirm earlier statements regarding behind the scenes issues with Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End.
Previously, voice actor Nolan North revealed that Amy Hennig, once lead writer for the series, left over disagreements on what direction the story would take. The incoming dev team, who worked on The Last Of Us, and were led by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, would eventually dispense of Amy’s work, an astounding eight months’ worth of writing.
Fittingly, after Nolan North, another voice actor, Alan Tudyk, has stepped forward to corroborate Nolan’s claims. Alan claims the changes Druckmann and Straley brought to the story also removed Tudyk and another voice actor, Todd Stashwick, off the project. Tudyk quotes Stashwick for saying the new team made ‘some weird changes’ to the game, compelling them to leave. He is alluding to Druckmann's statements about the darker direction the game has taken post Hennig.
The circumstances of Tudyk’s exit can’t have been good. He could not clearly state if he left or was fired. Tudyk did say he had no friends in Naughty Dog, but did make friends with people who left.
