Konami has issued an apology in relation to launch-day problems affecting Metal Gear Online and have announced they will be offering in-game compensation for players who were suffered server instability, broken connection, and other issues.
Everyone has been awarded 3,000 GP, an in-game currency, while a double-XP promotion has been lengthened from two weeks to three.
The XP boost is awarded through use of a promotional code and players who have already used it will automatically get an extra week. GP was added during yesterday's maintenance update.
Metal Gear Online launched on October 6th and suffered from a range of stability and connectivity issues, as well as broken texture glitches that created a surreal landscape in the game.
