No longer a rumor, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition has been confirmed for release on PC this fall. The port, which was handled by Rockstar Leeds, will coming to retail, Steam, and OnLive on November 8 in North America and November 10 in Europe.
As hinted at by its new subtitle, the PC version of L.A. Noire will come bundled with a multi-use code that entitles you to all content released as DLC for the console versions. That includes a few exclusive suits and guns, as well as five additional cases to investigate.
Rockstar has also released the minimum and recommended system specs for the game. Nothing too outrageous on the hardware side, but you will need a whopping 16GB of hard drive space to install the game. Guess it didn't ship on three Xbox 360 discs for nothing.
System Specifications:
• Operating System: Windows 7 / Windows Vista Service Pack 1 / Windows XP Service Pack 3 / OnLive for PC or Mac
• Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.2GHz to Quad Core 3.2GHz / AMD Dual Core 2.4Ghz to Quad Core 3.2Ghz
• RAM: 2GB to 8GB
• Hard drive space: 16GB
• Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1536MB / Radeon HD 3000 512MB to Radeon HD 6850 1024MB
• Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9 Compatible
• DVD Drive
Oddly enough, this official announcement mentions nothing about The Complete Edition seeing life as a console rerelease, something the rumors that outed this story had pegged as coming in November as well. Perhaps Rockstar is holding that announcement for a later date.
