Bethesda has announced a DLC season pass for their upcoming RPG, Fallout 4.
With Fallout 4 so close to release, Bethesda has taken the opportunity to reveal what their plans are for the game after it comes out. They state that the game will be supported by regular updates, user created mods, and a host of downloadable content, or DLC.
With regular updates, Fallout 4 will be patched, optimized, and even see new features added beyond its release. The studio notes how Skyrim updates saw the addition of legendary mode, mounted combat, kill cams, and visual enhancements. There's plenty of stuff that they plan to do with Fallout 4, be it new features or small tweaks.
The studio also plans to release the Creation Kit for the game early next year, allowing players to develop and create their own mods. They will allow players to share their creations through their Bethesda.net platform across the PC and Xbox One, and later the PlayStation 4.
Finally, Bethesda says that they have always done a lot of DLC for their games, and Fallout 4 will be no exception. To reward fans, they are offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the DLC they have planned for the game for just $30. The studio admits that they don't know what the actual DLC will be yet, as they're still working on finishing the core game, but they will release details about the DLC early next year. They state that the DLC will be worth at least $40, if you buy the content separately.
