Assassination first-person shooter game DEATHLOOP has had a third game update which adds some pretty cool new features into the mix. Game update 3 brings photo mode into the game as well as a range of unique avatars for PlayStation 5 players. In addition to this, the latest update also adds a number of accessibility features, after listening to feedback from players and people with disabilities.
The game’s new photo mode introduces a wide variety of filters, stickers, poses and other customization options to help players express themselves creatively during gameplay. Photo mode is, however, only available in the single-player mode of the game. In the game’s new photo mode players will also be able to swap between Colt and Julianna during the creation of your image, and it’ll be possible to change their outfits and weapons, including skins, for the purposes of the photo.
DEATHLOOP Producer Jeremy Leulier explains that the addition of photo mode has been a labour of love for the team at Arkane.
“We wanted to offer the best possible experience for this mode and took the time to playtest it thoroughly and even asked for insight from players who are experts in using different Photo Modes in games. We took so much pleasure testing Photo Mode that we added a lot of relevant options for the player to make it even more fun and funnier to use.”

Game update 3 also brings a number of important accessibility features to DEATHLOOP. These include over 30 improvements and added accessibility options for gameplay, menu navigation and interface options, to name a few. There’s also a dedicated Accessibility category now included in the game, which lists all the existing and new accessibility features the developers have implemented after listening to feedback from the disabled and ally communities. Some of these include the following options.
- New gameplay settings that allow players to further customize combat in Single-Player Mode (most are not available for Online or Friends modes). This includes increasing or decreasing combat difficulty, adjusting the number of Reprises and slowing game speed.
- New HUD and subtitle options, such as customizing the size, opacity and colour of various text and graphical elements
- Easier menu navigation, allowing for the use of directional buttons on the controller to navigate up and down menu lists. The cursor speed can also now be adjusted in settings to help with navigating the settings with a controller.
Full information on the game’s new additions can be found over at the DEATHLOOP website, which also details the new avatars that PS5 players can unlock as part of the new update.
