September 3, 2015 by Holly Green

Get an eery glimpse into the depths of SOMA’s unsettling underwater setting plus, the devs answer some questions about the game’s scare factor and puzzle solving.

Undoubtedly the strength of Frictional Games' signature horror games lies in their atmosphere, and today we get a healthy dose of that, courtesy of the studio's dev blog. The above video, simply entitled Environments, is set to a chilling narration that will shed just a tiny shaft of light on the game's premise, as the narrator describes a world now gone as the camera sweeps over images of the underwater depths in which SOMA is set.

Over on their dev blog are the answers to three "top questions about SOMA", exploring the scare factor of the game and its methods of puzzle solving, which you can read in full over at Blogspot. SOMA was said last month to be approaching completion and is set to debut on September 22, 2015 on PC, Mac, Linux, and PlayStation 4.
