Microsoft has announced a new Xbox One hardware bundle today, which aims to deliver the highest possible performance to pro-players. The Xbox One Elite Bundle offers an Xbox One equipped with a 1TB solid-state hybrid drive, as well as the $150 Elite Controller for a combined price of $499.
The hybrid drive stores the system's most commonly used files in a solid-state partition, allowing it to operate up to 20 per cent faster in energy-saving mode than most devices. Finishing it all off is a matte-black exterior rather than the glossy style preferred by Microsoft traditionally.
For the first month, the bundle will be exclusive to GameStop and Microsoft Stores. There's no word at this point on where the bundle will be sold internationally or pricing information for other regions.
Microsoft has also announced a new Xbox One Special Edition Lunar White Wireless Controller, which lacks the belss and whistles of the Elite Controller but offers a unqiue aesthetic. This controller will be exclusive to GameStop for $64.99.
