With the release of Sniper Elite 5 creeping ever closer, the team at Rebellion Developments have treated eager fans to another teaser trailer today. In the official gameplay features trailer (which you can watch right here), players can get a first look at some of the gameplay modes that they can enjoy in the upcoming World War 2 shooter game.
The video reveals that Sniper Elite 5 will feature both a solo campaign and a co-op campaign for players to work on together. However the co-op campaign will be in online multiplayer rather than local split-screen, so it’ll be one to dive into with a friend on a different online system. Additionally, the trailer gives fans another look at some of the highly detailed animations and graphics that are set to come in Sniper Elite 5, including the highly authentic-looking weaponry and vehicles as detailed in their last preview trailer. It also showcases the enhanced kill cam, which is every bit as gruesome as you’d expect from a Sniper Elite game.
The new trailer also shows off the advanced gunplay physics players can expect in-game. It looks as though sniping will be a much more detailed process than ever before, in addition to the realistic gunfire audio of the World War 2 weaponry that’s showcased in the clip. It also details the high-level weapon customisation options that are accessible in the game, which were touched upon in the last teaser video.
Players can also look forward to better methods of world traversal in Sniper Elite 5. Some of these look to include vertical climbing, sliding, making use of zip wires and traversing walls horizontally. In terms of multiplayer game modes, players can expect to experience all platform crossplay and an optional Invasion mode to add to the existing multiplayer choices.
Sniper Elite 5 is due to be released on May 26th. It will be available on Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass on Day One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
