Grand Theft Auto V is nearly a decade old, but life support continues. The game’s recent launch on current-gen consoles was met with skepticism, with the game’s initial launch trailer marred by waves of dislikes and frustrated comments. Fans took fire at Rockstar, saying that the PlayStation 5 port looked no different than the PlayStation 4 version.
Thankfully, the devs are trying to improve last month’s rocky release, and the newly-released Update 1.56 is adding some much-needed quality of life changes. The largest change to come from the new patch is a new motion blur slider, allowing players to turn down or completely turn off motion blur. Many players have complained about motion blur at higher frame rates since the current-gen versions launched, so this is a big step in the right direction.
The update is also addressing several audio bugs found by Xbox users, including one where in-game music would be muted when players were in an Xbox Live Party.

Though not included in the patch notes, new options for displaying and hiding activities on the map have been added. Car shadows have also been fixed on Xbox Series X/S.
