The highly-anticipated, Star Wars: Eclipse is reportedly moving along very well in its development. According to trusted leaker AccountNGT, “the development is going better than some would have you believe.” This news comes after a previous report by the same leaker said that Quantic Dream also has a Dark Sorcerer-inspired game in production. There isn’t a lot of information currently known about the upcoming Star Wars game, although the trailer released in December of last year sent fans reeling. Check it out below.
Twitter user and industry insider AccountNGT was the first to reveal that Quantic Dream has a Star Wars game in production, even sharing the game’s name, Eclipse, weeks before the official announcement. The leaker additionally shared screenshots from the trailer a fair amount of time before it premiered at the 2021 Game Awards. So while Star Wars: Eclipse is still a few years out from release, it seems that AccountNGT has the inside scoop.
The full tweet from AccountNGT was as follows:
Another report I got confirms again the existence of a Dark Sorcerer based game from Quantic Dream that I had reported a few months ago. SW Eclipse would be the next big game that QD would release tho. Apparently the development is going better than some would have you believe.
The Twitter leaker is most likely referring to a piece written by equally credible Tom Henderson for XFire. The piece reported that Quantic Dream was struggling to hire developers for Star Wars: Eclipse and was aiming for a 2027 release. Their difficulties to hire staff were due to controversial allegations made against the studio, creating an environment that few developers were willing to sign up for.
Despite Henderson’s report, AccountNGT has now said they believe Star Wars: Eclipse will most likely release sometime in 2025. If this is true, Star Wars everywhere are sure to be pleased. Keep an eye out for any more updates on the upcoming game.
