Earlier today, Amazon Germany listed a release date of March 9, 2016 for Naughty Dog’s next installment of the Uncharted series, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and then quickly removed it.
The March 9 date was corroborated by some folks on Reddit who had received emails from Amazon Germany that told them Uncharted 4 was going to be released on that very same date.
It should be noted that while this date coincides with Naughty Dog’s release window of spring 2016, March 9 is a Wednesday and typically games are released on Tuesdays. It could be that the game will be released in North America on March 8 and then on March 9 in Europe, but save for an announcement from Naughty Dog, this is all speculation. PlayStation Experience 2015, the now annualized PlayStation convention, will be held Dec. 5-6, 2015, so it is possible that a final release date will be given at the event. That is assuming it isn’t announced at Paris Games Week in October where PlayStation has said they will be present.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will mark the end of protagonist Nathan Drake’s story in the Uncharted universe. PlayStation 4 owners who would like to get caught up on all of the action and shenanigans can pick up Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in October.
