While PC ports of the Xbox One-exclusives Scalebound, Crackdown 3, and Quantum Break are not in development right now, head of Xbox Phil Spencer did not rule out the possibility of those games one day coming to Windows in an interview with PC Gamer.
Spencer elaborated on his statement, saying that due to those Xbox One-exclusives having started their development well before Spencer created his vision for what gaming on Windows 10 was going to be, they were not built with a PC version in mind.
"In the case of things like Scalebound or Crackdown or Quantum Break, you know, just to be completely honest with you, we started those games before we really looked at expanding into Windows in the way that I wanted to bring as part of becoming Head of Xbox," he said.
He went on to say that adding a PC version into the mix for those developers that late in the development cycle was not in their best interest. It "didn't really feel like necessarily the best way to end up with the best result for the game," he said.
While adding a PC version would cause more harm than good to the games in question, according to Spencer, he did say that it would be possible in the future.
"It's not to say those games could never come to Windows, but right now we're on the path to finish the great games that they've started, and I want that to be the case," he said.
Another Xbox One-exclusive that is set to launch this month is Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which will be coming to PC sometime after its release on Xbox One.
