Everspace Looks Really Awesome, Enters Kickstarter

August 12, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Everspace needs your help to become a reality.

Indie studio Rockfish Games has set up a Kickstarter crowdfund for their upcoming space shooter Everspace.

The studio aren't exactly newcomers to the industry and previously produced the Galaxy on Fire series of games, and now they need your help to make their next game.

Everspace is described as a single-player 3D space shooter with rogue-like elements and non-linear storytelling. It's all the hallmarks of what many gamers want out of a space shooter. It's not exactly Star Citizen, but they aren't trying to compete with that.

Designed for the PC and powered by Unreal Engine 4, Everspace is set to feature high-quality visuals (as you can see in the GIFs embedded in this post) with an extensive upgrade and damage system. The whole thing is playable in either first or third person mode and even supports VR.

The game is estimated for release in October 2016.
