Did you preorder upcoming city building RTS Anno 2205? We have unfortunate news.
While there will be a playable build for Gamescom attendees, German studio Ubisoft Blue Byte Mainz revealed they have cancelled the closed beta. Ubisoft confirmed the game is still coming out on Windows on November 3 as scheduled. They also revealed plans to share an unlockable item, a Command Ship (pictured above) and an exclusive Corporation Emblem.
Blue Byte Mainz also linked to Ubisoft’s support site, and promised preorders would lead to players getting the game slightly earlier.
Blue Byte Mainz did not elaborate further on the delay, nor if they plan to schedule a closed or open beta in the future. As you can see in the comments, fans are unhappy that the beta was cancelled, and many fans did buy it for early access to get theirAnno fix.
