A day after the Street Fighter 5 beta on PlayStation 4 was suspended, Capcom ran a server test in North America, with follow up tests planned for the rest of the week.
Associate producer and former competitive player Peter ‘Combofiend‘ Rosas confirmed that the beta launch turned out worse than they expected, and the beta is not working up to their expectations. Capcom is slowly working through the issues to get functionality up and running on the beta. They will also be extending the beta, so you can rest assured you will get playtime for this as well.
Testing occurred yesterday, during 7 PM-1 AM Pacific. They were able to piece together that some players were able to play several matches already, but others still faced login and connection problems. They also claim to have isolated and fixed some of these issues.
The beta resumes today for North America on 11 AM Pacific, around three to four hours from this writing. If you do want to check the beta status at any time, you can also go to http://streetfighter.com and check beta server status at the top of the page.
