Dark Souls 3– that game where everything wants to kill you – is making its way to Gamescom next month, where it will be playable for the very first time.
When the game’s director says “[e]verything is designed to kill you,” we expect that they’ll do something to balance it out, aside from the ability to run away faster. Miyazaki has stated that character controls will be more intuitive, and the range of tactical options available to the player has been widened. Dark Souls 3 promises fast, fluid combat that’s better than what players had in prior games. If that’s got you curious as to how the game will handle, head on over to Gamescom if you can.
Touted as the final entry in the series, Dark Souls 3 is set to launch in early 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
