A new white variant of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has surfaced online. The pictures of the white Xbox Elite controller were posted on Twitter by @IdleSloth84 and @Jhoncho6712 and show the new controller color in a cabinet. Take a look at the pictures of the new white controller below.
Judging by the pictures posted, the new white variant of the Elite controller is ready to ship and will likely be announced soon. Considering the other inventory in the picture, it’s even possible that stores are already starting to receive the controller. One thing that is certain, is that is a fine looking controller. The white with black handholds are simply sublime. Let’s hope official info, like a release date, is revealed by Microsoft soon. Unfortunately, since it says “Series 2” on the box it can be ruled out that this is a Series 3 model. Many gamers have been waiting for a Series 3 version of the popular controller since the Xbox Series consoles were released. That wait will likely go on for considerably longer if Microsoft plans to refresh the product line with a new color.
Microsoft’s Elite controllers have been incredibly popular since the first one was released in 2015. The controller gives players a plethora of control options for games. The Elite models allow players to change the buttons and analog sticks to suit their preferences. It also features back paddles which can be utilized in a number of games for a competitive advantage. The controllers also allow for exclusive button mapping on the software side, meaning players can map different buttons to different functions than originally designed.
Although the white variant of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has not been officially announced just yet, the pictures above are compelling evidence of its existence. Expect an announcement from Microsoft in the near future.
