The name "Trenched" doesn't exactly entice one to find out what the game is about. It's also the name of an existing board game. Recognizing this, Double Fine has issued a name change for the game, which will come to be known as Iron Brigade after the game is released in Europe this month.
Trenched, now Iron Brigade, is a cross between a third person shooter and a tower defense game.
The name change will be updated when the game receives a free DLC, which contains a lot of new weapons, costumes, gestures, and a new survival mode set in the game's African Hospital stage. The developers of Iron Brigade have also confirmed that future DLCs are planned. As to whether they're going to be free or pay-based remains to be seen. Here's hoping for the former.
Iron Brigade is set for a European release on September 22. It is exclusive to Microsoft's XBLA.
