PlayStation Plus March Lineup Announced

February 23, 2022 by Carley Garcia

Not a bad haul.

Updated: After the leak, the games were officially announced by Sony. Ark Survival Evolved was added to the lineup.

Since September 2021, curious PlayStation Plus members have kept an eye on Dealabs user billbil-kun, whose leaks regarding upcoming PS Plus titles have been accurate each and every time. Strangely, the user was silent regarding February’s titles, but they have returned with what we can expect for March 2022. The three upcoming free titles for members include Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, Ghostrunner, and Team Sonic Racing.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a co-op multiplayer mode for Ghost of Tsushima that was released in October 2020. Separate from the game’s single-player campaign, it is a free download for those who already own the main title, and can also typically be purchased by non-owners for $19.99. Players can choose from four available classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. Legends features unique missions based on Japanese mythology for friends to experience together.

The cyberpunk action platformer Ghostrunner dropped for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in October 2020, getting a Nintendo Switch port in November 2020 and a current-gen release in September 2021. Players take on the role of Jack the Ghostrunner as he explores the world by dashing, jumping, wall-running, and grappling. If you’re a fan of going fast and leveling enemies with a sword, this is the game for you.

Ark Survival Evolved was initially released in 2017. The open-world title can be navigated either on foot or on the back of a dinosaur, and players must use firearms and improvised weapons to defend against hostile humans and creatures. The game can be played either alone or in multiplayer mode.

Team Sonic Racing, initially released in 2019, allows players to choose from 15 Sonic characters as they speed down a selection of raceways. The game differs from your typical kart game, focusing more on co-op gameplay. Players are part of a team and win races through efficiency rather than speed alone.

PlayStation is currently working on a competitor service to the Xbox Game Pass. Details came to light in December 2021, indicating that the new project–codenamed ‘Spartacus’–would release sometime this spring. Spartacus will combine the current PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services into a three-tiered system

The PlayStation Plus titles for March will be available on Tuesday, March 2. Subscribers have until Monday to claim February 2022’s games: Planet Coaster, Tiny TIna’s Assault on Dragon Keep, and UFC 4.
