Horizon Forbidden West is getting an official Lego set!
Ahead of the fast approaching launch of Horizon Forbidden West, an official Lego set has been unveiled of a Tallneck. The set will retail at $79.99 and will also have a minifigure of Aloy. While Lego is yet to announce the set itself, videos and images have been spreading like wildfire among the Lego community. The Tallneck itself will be 34CM tall with a 21CM base. The set will overall contain 1222 different parts and release in May of this year.
Horizon Forbidden West is the next big PS5 exclusive to launch, the first this year. While we’ve had titles such as Sifu already, this is the first AAA release that Sony themselves are pushing extremely hard as the ‘next big thing’. Reviews seem to indicate that Guerrilla Games have a hit on their hands, with several outlets stating that the game is an improvement of the first title in almost every single regard, and already an early game of the year contender. It’s a game that a lot of gamers are eagerly awaiting, so it makes perfect sense that Lego would want to make a set to capitalize on the love for the series.
Previously, Lego released a Lego Mario and a Lego Sonic The Hedgehog set, signalling a turn to video games for inspiration. With Horizon Forbidden West announced as the next video game title to get a Lego set, what could come next? Could we be here next year discussing a potential Elden Ring Lego set? Or maybe we’ll get a Crash Bandicoot Lego set? Personally, I’d love a Lego Master Chief Helmet that’ll look absolutely amazing on a shelf.
