Just one week after Imgur user GatorMacheteJr documented his attempt to pre-order a copy of Fallout 4 with his 7.5-year collection of real world bottle caps by sending the collection to Bethesda’s offices, Bethesda’s global community lead Matt Grandstaff has confirmed on Twitter that the publisher will make good on the fan’s attempt.
“Yes, my office smells like beer #Fallout4,” Grandstaff said on Twitter with a picture of GatorMacheteJr’s collection of bottle caps.

GatorMacheteJr responded to the news with a new Imgur post, saying, “[Grandstaff] told me since I was the first person to do this, I would be receiving a copy of the game this November, and that he would be running my caps over to deposit them at the People's Bank of Point Lookout, [the fictional bank in Fallout’s universe].”
“People were simultaneously worried about my rate of drinking (I'm fine, thanks), and were also disappointed in my lack of drinking (I'm fine, thanks),” GatorMacheteJr said. “Someone on imgur even offered to gift me a copy of the game if I didn't get one. So thanks again everyone!”
Fallout 4 was officially unveiled earlier this month and subsequently shown off at Bethesda’s E3 press conference and given a release date of November 10, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
