An enterprising hacker, @DeepGameRes on Twitter, has been hard at work finding hidden elements of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and one could be hinting at future DLC. @DeepGameRes was able to find a fully modeled but unused room in the game. The room in question is interesting because it is a modern bedroom complete with a Nintendo Switch. Just like the bedrooms that players start traditional Pokémon games in. Note, anyone who wants to avoid spoilers should not read any further. The following contains spoilers for the opening of Pokémon Legends: Arceus but nothing more.
Still with us? Ok, the hidden room in question looks like the bedroom of the trainer that players control in Arceus. When the trainer falls through the portal into the past, they leave everything behind but as that is not a playable part of the game, there’s no reason to have the bedroom as it appears in the game. It’s, therefore, possible that the bedroom is in Arceus for a future DLC. Perhaps the trainers will be heading back to the modern world in a future DLC?
Nintendo has jumped on the DLC train in recent years. For a long time, the company had forgone releasing DLC for its games. Pokémon Sword and Shield received the first expansions in the history of the series. It has been rumored that Arceus will also be receiving a DLC expansion, possibly as soon as April. In January, a leaker with a good track record for Pokémon games hinted at DLC for Arceus and said it will be arriving in April. The hint that leaker @Riddler_Khu gave was a picture of two modern-day characters from Diamond and Pearl.
That hint combined with the recently discovered modern bedroom is certainly painting a picture of a modern-day DLC coming to Pokémon Legends: Arceus in some form or another. Check out the video below to see the modern-day bedroom.
