Devil’s Third fans seemed to have gone through quite a trial by fire, haven’t they? A day after reassuring fans on Facebook, Itagaki posts again, and even though E3 is over it looks like he’s ready to hype the game up again.

Itagaki states that he was drinking at home, but in a happy rather than dour mood. In fact, he refers to this year’s E3 as crazy, which implies he actually was at the event and never spotted. This does raise the question of what he was doing if he was never going to present the game to the public.
Itagaki ends his message by stating he has many things lined up, that will solve what issues he had before. He wants fans to simply believe him.
Itagaki may have been motivated to talk to fans more again in the fallout of not only the game’s absence at E3, but a recent rumor in a video podcast that Devil’s Third would be getting a limited release in the US, exclusive to Gamestop.
As of now, we still don’t know if Nintendo of America will publish the game in the US themselves, or if they will be going with another publisher, as was rumored before.
However, Nintendo did state in E3 that they have more unannounced games for Wii U, so they may be bringing Devil’s Third to the US yet. It is possible that they deliberately passed on an E3 presentation for the game due to adult content, possibly more than what Bayonetta 2 or Fatal Frame: Maiden of Dark Water had.
Do you hope Nintendo of Europe will bring Devil’s Third to Gamescom? Would you like Nintendo of America to bring it to PAX and SDCC? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
