With the leak of Destiny’s upcoming third expansion called The Taken King just a few days in the rearview mirror, Bungie teased some new “surprises” to come at E3 next week in Bungie’s latest Weekly Update.
With the above photo, Bungie hypothesized a conversation that might have taken place with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
"Okay, so, uhhhhhh, we have one item labeled CAUTION EXPLOSIVE PROJECTILE, but it's totally harmless," Bungie said. "And, well, if you X-Ray it, you'll see something that looks like [redacted], but we promise it's not that either. Can you just trust us that it's not dangerous?"
"We know what you're thinking: "What's in the box?!" These and other surprises are on the way to E3," Bungie added. "Can't wait to show you what we'll unpack over the course of the show."
The aforementioned leak of Destiny’s third expansion, The Taken King, lists a $40 price tag for the expansion, double the price of each of the first two expansions, The Dark Below and House of Wolves. It will include a new subclass for each of the three main classes that add an additional elemental power to each (arc damage for Warlock, void damage for Hunter, and solar damage for Titans).
It is possible the news Bungie has prepared for E3 beyond The Taken King is related to a trademark it filed for something called “Eververse” and “Eververse Trading Co.”
