Interest in the Devil May Cry series may have declined after the remaking of Dante as a rejected band member from Fall Out Boy, but that doesn't mean the new game doesn't look cool. Never mind the fact that its lead designer wears his hair like the new Dante, either—I'm not here to talk about either of those things.
Instead, it looks like the original Devil May Cry trio is planned for an HD re-release sometime soon. According to a report on G4, all three games have been given brand new ratings about the ESRB for release on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, fueling evidence that players will be able to delve right back into the role of the original Dante in souped up versions of the trilogy.
With this year's Tokyo Game Show on the way next week, it wouldn't be too surprising if they announced the remakes right there. I doubt the PR people are going to be too happy about the deflating of the announcement, though.
Thanks G4.
