The creator of Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima, has announced that the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD will support online cooperative gameplay for up to four players on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Kojima revealed the news through his personal Twitter account today, publishing a picture of the game running on four separate monitors. He did not give any indication as to whether the game would support split-screen gameplay, but he confirmed that it would play at a smooth 60 frames per second.
"Final co-op on "MGS PW" HD collection." By using infrastructure mode connection (via PlayStation Network/XBOX Live)," read one of his tweets. "4 people can co-op and it is 60 frames. During loading, characters; dialogues pop up at random."
The new release of Peace Walker is set for release in November by Konami, as a part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection that also includes high-definition versions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3.
