Star Wars: Battlefront Promises Us Ewoks And Weekly Updates

May 19, 2015

You wanted Ewoks? You’re getting Ewoks. You’ll also be getting several multiplayer maps and maybe a lot more.

Star Wars fans, rejoice! EA DICE Community Manager Mathew Everett is making sure we don’t have to wait long to get new information on Star Wars: Battlefront. While its gameplay debut is  still set for next month, Everett has revealed some details that fans have been asking for. You wanted Ewoks? You’re getting Ewoks. They’ll be on Endor, for sure.

Aside from the existence of fluffy Ewoks in-game, DICE has also confirmed 12 multiplayer maps and 4 planets. Three maps per planet makes sense, but Everett says that might not be how they’ll be distributed. They never said it would be that way, and the exact number of maps on each planet is still unconfirmed. There’s still the possibility that multiplayer maps will not be the same as mission maps. He did tease that they would be releasing more maps and modes, among others, in the coming months.

If the wait for E3 and the first glimpse of Star Wars: Battlefront gameplay becomes too much to handle, you could also check the official page, where they’ll be posting news updates weekly. Everett predicts that they’ll start updating on their progress more often soon, though.

E3 is just less than a month away. We’re all excited to see what everyone’s got in store for us. EA DICE mentioned that even the storm troopers are gunning for E3 2015. I don’t think any of us trust their aim, though…
