Are you looking forward to Halo 5 Guardians? Fans have come up with a curious idea to spice up online multiplayer.
Redditor IamRightHanded wants IWHBYD skulls for multiplayer. If you already know what this is referring to, you can skip the following paragraph.
IWHBYD refers to ‘I would have been your daddy (but the dog beat me over the fence’, a strange viral originally uttered by Avery Johnson in the firstHalo: Combat Evolved. The skull is ultimately an Easter Egg, since it gives no useful gameplay effect, but is just funny to use. In Halo 3 and successive games, finding the skull causes rare dialogue for both enemy and allied AI that speak English to come up more often.
Our source wants to hear lines like "He was my lover!" or "Every pack-brother for himself!" more often as a result of using the skull. Particularly, he wants it to be a form of non-voice chat communication within the game.
As fans have pointed out, 343 has promised there will be an option to toggle that chatter on and off. Of course, that chatter is not for everyone, but some also agree that this would be a fun optional feature to have.

Halo 5 Guardians will be released exclusively on the Xbox One on October 27.
