Titanfall was a big hit when it was first released. Players were given a new thrilling science fiction FPS that was all multiplayer. We’re sure you’re familiar with the game at this point. You’re essentially dropped in these big battles where you can either take control of a massive mech or run around as a foot soldier. Unfortunately, today we’re finding out that the game was removed from being available online, and subscription services will soon see the game taken down.
Respawn Entertainment is known for Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. However, if you’re after the original Titanfall release, you won’t find it available for purchase. We’re not sure just why the game was removed. Either way, the game was pulled from being available for purchase. The development studio tweeted that the game was removed, but subscription services will still have the Titanfall available until March of 2022.
Afterward, Titanfall will only be available to those that have already purchased a copy. It appears that the developers are going to keep the servers up and running. So that the core group of players that still log in and enjoy the game can continue doing so. Unfortunately, we’re not sure just how long those servers will be up and running, so it might be ideal to start moving towards the successor to Titanfall, Titanfall 2. With that said, this is not the end of this franchise IP.
Instead, it looks like the game franchise will continue. Respawn Entertainment again reflected that this is an IP that’s core to the studio’s DNA. It looks like there will be a Titanfall 3, but we’re uncertain just when we’ll see that game come out into the marketplace. For now, it looks like those who want to enjoy that original installment will need to use a subscription service.
