When it comes to CD Projekt Red, the development studio had to deal with quite a bit of downfall. Their incredibly hyped and anticipated RPG release, Cyberpunk 2077, was a hot mess. There were so many issues that came from it. Even some platforms couldn’t properly run the game at all. The studio is still working on updates, and it’s far from the initial build that came out. However, there were rumors and speculation that those who didn’t pick the game up could eventually have it through Game Pass.
The rumor came out when it was discovered that a Game Pass subscription service trailer featured some gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay was incredibly brief, but that triggered a ton of anticipation that the game would be coming to the service. Of course, the rumor was cleared up through VGC after they reached a spokesperson. The spokesperson said there were no plans to bring out Cyberpunk 2077 on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
There is a new statement given now. A recent investors call with a Q&A session brought up the video game once again. During the segment, it was asked if there were plans to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to some subscription services. However, again the development studio decided that while it’s always possible, they are not interested in bringing the game to the subscription service right now. Instead, the game is far too new to get put on this service, according to CD Projekt Red.
According to the development studio, these subscription services can be great. However, for something like Cyberpunk 2077, it’s far too new. This game will need to be out for a good while before it ends up on something like Xbox game Pass. Right now, the studio is working on new updates for the game, along with fans being hopeful that their expansions for this game are coming out sooner rather than later.
