Halo is a massive FPS franchise. It’s one of the biggest exclusives under Microsoft’s control, and it continues to thrive today. Long after the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved, we have Halo Infinite in development. We’re nearing the launch date, and more juicy details are unveiled as we get closer to its release. One of those latest announcements came in the form of a rapid-fire questions video by Game Informer.
Game Informer fired over some questions after speaking with Joseph Staten, a longtime developer for the Halo franchise and current head of creative at 343 Industries. These are quick questions for the developer to give just a few-word answer. However, one question that might have some fans interested in knowing about is about future weapons. Game Informer asked Joseph Staten if we would see more weapons get added into Halo Infinite’s multiplayer component over time.
According to Joseph Staten, that’s a pretty safe bet to make. While we don’t have any details on what future weapons might consist of, it looks like the developers have already thought about it. These might be new weapons that are added into the game over seasonal updates. That’s not all either, as another question asked was about maps. Again, much like weapons, the developer noted that what you see at launch is just the beginning of all the fun maps we’ll get to play on.
Fortunately, you can get a head start in fun right now. Halo Infinite has a multiplayer beta available right now for players to dive into. In addition, it’s completely free and will remain free after launch. Speaking of the game’s launch, players can pick up Halo Infinite on December 8, 2021. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms when it does release.
