Update: Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be a single player game, with no multiplayer modes. The publisher said they are determined to ensure the single player will be "excellent".
Four collector's editions have been revealed and you can see them in the gallery below.
Original Story: Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be released on October 23rd for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game will launch at some point in the Autumn.
The game takes place in 1868 and follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they build a crime empire in Victorian London. You will be able to play as both characters but most of the game sees players fill Jacob's shoes.
You can watch the game's cinematic trailer above and some gameplay below. Syndicate's box art is also featured below. The game looks a bit like Red Dead Redemption when it comes to horse racing around the city and has a definite Dishonored steampunk tinge about it.
Ubisoft admitted it had made mistakes with Assassin's Creed Unity, which suffered from some major glitches and bugs, but Syndicate is coming from Ubisoft Quebec rather than Ubisoft Montreal so perhaps a different studio can get the series back on track.
